# OLVG – Remote intensive care

Tele-IC delivers remote intensive care via video—Sping integrated conferencing hardware with clinical control surfaces alongside VisionsConnected and Dutch hospitals.

## Tele-IC enables remote intensive care over video

A remote specialist can take over care via video during evening, night, and weekend shifts.

Together with VisionsConnected we push video innovation; OLVG, MC Zuiderzee, and VisionsConnected co-created Tele-IC from real ICU needs.

## Why it mattered

Many hospitals lack level-3 ICU capacity for the most complex patients while OLVG does—bridging that gap was the clinical driver, as intensivist Dr Peter van der Voort described.

## Delivery

OLVG was the launching customer. VisionsConnected supplied hardware and video services; Sping integrated them with the management and control surfaces intensivists rely on.

## Recognition

Tele-IC was a February 2012 finalist in the Cisco Innovation Awards category “Most Innovative Collaboration/Video Project of the Year”.
