# Portbase integration

A seamless Portbase integration for Slager & Zandbergen Transport Vlaardingen—replacing manual copy‑paste with reliable data exchange across the port chain.

## No more copy-and-paste

Since 1991 SZTV has been known for efficient transport and truly unburdening customers. We spoke with Marco van Driel, a planner with 30+ years at SZTV in Ridderkerk. Until recently Portbase meant slow manual copy-and-paste—Sping replaced that with a seamless integration.

## Data exchange for smoother port logistics

Founded in 2009 by the Port of Rotterdam and Port of Amsterdam, Portbase is a key hub for smoother logistics: connecting supply-chain partners, exchanging data, and improving efficiency across Dutch ports.

## A chain of trust

Government and port authorities recently introduced a trust chain—fewer PIN and email gymnastics, a safer Portbase ecosystem, and smoother day-to-day operations.

## Field research in Rotterdam

Melda and Carsten from Sping visited Rotterdam’s port area to unpack SZTV’s challenges and co-design Portbase solutions—proof that technology and operators can modernise port logistics together.
